Wellbeing Committee/Students Council

Our Wellbeing Committee and Student Council changes regularly. They hold regular meetings and provide feedback to the other children on events and changes which are happening in the school.

We were delighted to receive our Amber Flag which we put up on Graduation Day with pupils and parents. The Wellbeing Committee and Student Council organise many events and they also have a buddy system in place. We also have a Daily Mile Flag and many Green flags with the support of the committees. Indeed we won regional green school in 2025.

Our wellbeing committee link in with the marine schools and this helped us to won National Marine School and European Bluelite School.

We have developed a Sensory Garden complete with wonderful textures, smells, colours, tastes and sounds for our pupils. The children love to spend time in there. It is also used when children need quiet, contemplative time. The wellbeing committee also have yard games for children who may like to build outdoors now and again and play alone or to go to the yard game area and join in with many others. The forest, playhouse,wildflower patch and vegetable garden area are great for wellbeing and enjoyed by all at yard time.
