We had a wonderful final few days in Sixth Class starting with a victory at the annual Respect You, Respect Me tournament in Rathew GAA Club. Involving sixth class teams from many schools around the Wicklow Town area, we battled it out in the group stages. Despite having fewer than the required amount of players, both teams that Brittas Bay entered topped their groups and went to the semi finals, where one of our teams got through to the final. It was a resounding victory in the final and the boys and girls, through no little skill, brought home the prepetual cup. A year group brimming with talent got their just desserts.
Following a very enjoyable Graduation Day, we had our final lesson and harvest with Wendy. The pupils cultivated and dried lettuce, scallions and basil and topped it off with Wendy's delicious homemade dressing. It was a beautiful morning garden-side and a beautiful way to finish off the year sharing food we have grown together.
