Science and art collided today as 5th class students took part in a hands-on workshop led by renowned marine zoologist Mona McCrea.
In association with the Marine Institute’s Explorers Education Programme, the students swapped their textbooks for scalpels to perform a detailed dissection of a squid. The workshop is part of a wider initiative designed to foster "ocean literacy" among Irish primary school children, encouraging them to become the next generation of marine leaders.
